Opening a Business Bank Account for Your LLC
Opening a bank account is a necessary step in real estate investing. Without an account, you can’t form an LLC. However, nonresidents face quite a few obstacles when opening a bank account.
You Don’t Need a Social Security Number — Nonresident investors don’t need an SSN to open a bank account, but they do have to have an up-and-running LLC. That means you need the state’s approval and the EIN number to file the paperwork for your future dedicated bank account.
All You Need Is the Right Bank — There are several different banks that are nonresident-friendly. Major institutions like the Bank of America, JPMorgan, or Chase have special LLC bank accounts for nonresidents.
And Some Help From the Nonresident Investor Team — Most banks will require you to be physically present when opening your account. But the Nonresident Investor team can help. Thanks to our connections and partnerships with specialized banks which deal with foreigners, we can open a business bank account for you.
Building Your Credit With a US Credit Card
Our services of helping you breach the US Real Estate market don’t stop with the simple business bank account. The Nonresident Investor team can also help you get a US credit card (without a social security number) and start building your credit in the States.
Getting a credit card might seem like a bad idea, but good credit is king in the US. That means you can leverage this to your advantage and build good credit to establish yourself as a trustworthy loan applicant.
International Transactions
All transactions that nonresident investors make in the beginning are international, which is why they need a secure and affordable payment processor.
Traditional banks aren’t that favorable (at least for foreigners), which is why we often advise our clients to opt for online payment processors that don’t have hidden fees and high currency exchange rates.
However, no matter what you opt for, the Nonresident Investment team will help you make the best choice for your investment project. Our clients’ diverse needs are our number one concern, and we’ll do everything in our power to meet each and every one of them.
US Mortgage Loans
After we help you open your LLC and a bank account, the Nonresident Investor team can also help you secure funding.
Most traditional banks and lenders won’t loan money to international buyers because they can’t offer standard guarantees that they will return the loan. That’s why foreign buyers need specialized lenders who work exclusively with nonresidents.
The Nonresident Investor team will do everything to meet your needs, including finding the best loan. We have many associates and contacts that will offer our nonresident investor clients affordable loans.
And don’t worry about not getting the loan — as long as your real estate investment has a good cash flow, you can get a loan.
